Together with PLH Architects, UiWE prepared the building program for a new drug-using facility for the City of Copenhagen. We are looking at improving the user experience for drug users, program and layout of the building, focusing on ensuring a safe, calm and generous environment for users, staff and neighbors.
The drug-using facility will be located at the heart of the vibrant meatpacking district of Copenhagen. The main ambition of the facility is to reduce mortalities and injuries for drug users. In the process we have been doing substantial research into the specific needs of the user group. With this outset we have developed the program and plan concept together with PLH. Finally, we have proposed concepts for the flow, interior design and atmosphere of the facility. The drug-using facility is expected to open in summer 2016.
